Terms of Service

The service

BiDecks is a local-first tool for saving links and public source metadata, adding personal notes and structure, finding saved material, and returning to external sources. BiDecks does not host the original third-party videos, podcasts, articles, posts, or websites referenced by your Decks.

Your license to use BiDecks

Subject to these Terms and applicable platform rules, Team5 grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use BiDecks on devices you own or control.

• The license is for lawful personal use unless Team5 agrees otherwise in writing.
• You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, circumvent security or access controls, or create derivative works from BiDecks except where applicable law or open-source licenses expressly permit it.

Your content and external sources

You retain your rights in notes, attachments, and other material you create or add. You are responsible for that material, the links you save, your backups, and ensuring that your use does not violate law or another person's rights. BiDecks receives only the limited permission needed to process information as described in the Privacy Policy and provide features you request.

External sources remain controlled by their owners and platforms. Their availability, accuracy, safety, licenses, and terms are outside Team5's control. BiDecks metadata and previews are provided for identification and convenience and do not transfer ownership or grant rights to copy or redistribute source content.

Trial and Full Access

The following commercial terms apply when BiDecks is obtained through Apple's App Store on iPhone or iPad.

• An eligible Apple device receives one 14-day Full Access trial. The period begins only when the first Deck is successfully saved. Starting it does not charge you.
• After 14 days, the Vault remains readable, searchable, and exportable. Creating new saves, editing, and organizing pause unless Full Access is unlocked.
• Full Access is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The exact localized price and any applicable taxes are shown by the App Store before you confirm.
• BiDecks does not use a subscription for Full Access. There is no recurring charge and no automatic renewal.
• Use Restore Purchase to recover an eligible purchase associated with your Apple account. Apple processes payment, restoration, cancellation, and refund requests under its rules and applicable consumer law. A refund or transaction reversal may remove Full Access.

BiDecks does not currently offer a paid Full Access purchase on Android. Features currently available on Android may differ from iPhone and iPad. If paid access is introduced through Google Play, the price and applicable purchase terms will be shown before confirmation.

Availability, updates, and backups

BiDecks and metadata services are provided as available. Features may depend on your device, operating system, network connection, source platform, or third-party service. Sources may change, restrict metadata, remove content, or stop supporting links. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features, but we will not create a recurring charge without your explicit agreement.

Your Vault is primarily stored on your device. Use Backup & transfer when you need a portable copy. Exported files are not encrypted; you are responsible for choosing a secure destination and retaining any backup you may need.

Acceptable use

• Use BiDecks and its metadata services only for lawful purposes.
• Do not use BiDecks to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights. Saving a link does not grant ownership of its content.
• Do not bypass trial, purchase, security, rate-limit, or access controls, or submit malicious code or requests.
• Do not disrupt, overload, probe, scrape, or misuse BiDecks services or use them to harm another person or system.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiDecks and related services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of any external source, complete or accurate metadata, or that a third-party app will open a saved moment exactly as expected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Team5 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use BiDecks, including loss of data, source availability, or expected results. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the consumer law that applies to you.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using BiDecks at any time. Team5 may restrict access to online services for material or repeated violations of these Terms, security threats, fraud, abuse, or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible, restrictions will be proportionate and will not be used to withhold access to export local content.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when BiDecks, its commercial model, platform requirements, or applicable law changes. The current version and effective date will be available in the app. If a material change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it before the change applies.

Platform terms

Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to the license and use of BiDecks obtained through the App Store. These BiDecks Terms supplement that agreement. Where mandatory Apple terms govern a platform matter, those terms control. Read the Apple Standard EULA.

Google Play's Terms of Service govern your use of Google Play and acquisition of BiDecks through it. These BiDecks Terms govern your use of the app. Google does not provide a standard developer EULA equivalent to Apple's Standard EULA. Read the Google Play Terms.
